I’m very happy to be able to tell you that Bless Unleashed enters open beta today on Xbox One! This is an important moment for its development, as it’s the first time fans will be able to play Bless Unleashed with no barriers to entry starting Thursday, November 7 at 10:00 a.m. PT to Thursday, November 20, at 10:00 a.m. PT. You don’t need a beta key, and you don’t need to be an Xbox Insider to play. You only need to download the Bless Unleashed beta from the Microsoft Store, and then jump into the world of Lumios to begin your adventure!
That’s not the only reason we’re excited about this open beta.
After Bless Unleashed’s last closed beta, we were faced with some pretty
hard decisions. We had previously told our community that we intended to
release Bless Unleashed in the summer of 2019. The feedback we received
from our last closed beta however, told us that that the game simply wasn’t
ready. We were faced with a decision: push the game out as announced and work
with our community to continue to improve the game in the live environment, or
we could delay the game. Our team thought about this for some time while the
developers were working to get the changes that the community had stated they
wanted to see in the game before our release date. As we grew closer, we came
to the realization that our fans deserve more than a frantic dash to release.
Therefore, we announced that we’d delay Bless Unleashed. But we also wanted to ensure that our fans would have a chance to check in on our progress, which is why we also announced that Bless Unleashed would enter a two-week long open beta starting today. I can’t overstate how important this open beta is for us. Not only can everyone participate in the Bless Unleashed beta, but this also serves as an important check in with our fans. We’re looking forward to hearing what you think of the changes we’ve been making to Bless Unleashed.
Our largest points of feedback have been on our controls and
speed of combat. We’ve worked hard to address these issues that you’ve brought
to our attention. The developers have implemented a couple of new control
schemes and made one of them the new default control layout. This means that if
you’re returning to Bless Unleashed, you might need to take a few
minutes to learn the new controls. If you don’t like the new control layout,
you can change back to the old layout in the options menu. Please let us know
what you think on our social channels.
We really hope that you’ll take some time in the next two weeks to play Bless Unleashed and let us know how we’re doing.
The developers have also been working hard to speed up combat.
This is still a work-in-progress and players may notice that some animations
will not be quite as smooth as they used to be, but they will be faster. If you
think the new speed of combat feels good, think it should be even faster, or
even if you think the old speed of combat was fine and want things to go back
to what they were, please let us know.
We really hope that you’ll take some time in the next two weeks
to play Bless Unleashed and let us know how we’re doing. We’re accepting
feedback on all of our social channels, including Twitter and Facebook. We want to know what
you think about every aspect of Bless Unleashed, including combat,
crafting, controls, story, and more.
To thank you for your time, we’re giving everyone who plays Bless
Unleashed during our open beta a special title, Breaker of Games and a
seven-day trial of Valor Perks, which offers increased EXP and gold gain, as
well as several other great perks to help you enjoy your time in Bless
Unleashed even more. These rewards will be delivered when the game is
launched, and players should make sure to link their Xbox Live and Bandai Namco
Accounts to help ensure delivery when the game goes live.
Both Bandai Namco and Round 8 are looking forward to your open beta feedback and hope you enjoy Bless Unleashed!
